The Story of Propaganda in 50 Images by David Welch

Propaganda is everywhere and that is what David Welch shows in his book. It’s not a long book (less than 150 pages) but each page is packed with information on how propaganda from an event (e.g. World War I) was used to make its point.

Starting from 336BC and going all the way to modern day, Welch shows how although the times and events have evolved the propaganda and the way it is effective never really changes. It becomes more sophisticated but rarely changes its pattern.

The Story of Propaganda in 50 Images shows what propaganda can do and how it can take hold of people. It is a good starting place for anyone with an interest in propaganda and how it was used.
